Some videos

As Gronk dries out his gear

here are some videos to keep you entertained.

This is the pony who enjoyed his salty leg:

Here's the first video on the AT that he posted on YouTube, although it was made only a few days ago, earlier this week.

Here's a typical hillside on the AT (that clicking in the background is some sort of bird):

And here's Gronk at his camp site on June 4:

Finally, that beautiful, fragrant flowering shrub was the mountain laurel.

  1. My birds got all excited over the bird sounds in the third video. It's great to see video of the actual trail, and to see you hiking. I was wondering, though, how have you got the camera rigged up so that you don't have to hold it at arm's length? However you've done it, it's nice and smooth.

    1. He has a gizmo that attaches the camera to the end of one hiking pole! I will post that and one other gadget later.

  2. I thought you must have a camera crew with you but I was stumped when you leaned forward to turn the video off. We're going to have a meeting to discuss. Carry on!

  3. Julia, thanks for the updates. It's nice to hear Peter and to see him "on the trail".

  4. Great videos Julia, they are really amazing. Thanks for posting them.

  5. Gronk, these are really great videos. They give me a sense of what you are experiencing on the trail. When you set up hammock near the trail, do you worry about being run-into overnight by some drunk? Continuing to enjoy your progress and wish you good luck.
